My illustrated name paintings are completely bespoke and personalised. Each baby name painting is an original watercolour and can be created in any theme and colour palette of your choosing – to fit in beautifully with your nursery décor. From the moment of ordering, you are part of the process and will be kept updated throughout the design and painting stages.
The design process...
I use high quality, textured watercolour paper which is stretched to ensure an even surface. I sketch out all of the initial ideas by hand and ensure you are happy with the design before moving onto pen work in archival ink.
Once drawing work is completed, I use St Petersburg, White Night and Daniel Smith Extra Fine watercolour paints – which are noted for their vibrancy, quality and longevity – to complete the colour work. Once dry, I then work onto the surface to add detail with more archival ink, watercolour pencils and soemtimes metallic paint.
I mount every painting as standard and also offer a framing service so that you can order the complete package, ready for hanging on the wall.
Every illustration is 100% unique...
Each original painting is signed and mounted. For an additional cost it can also be framed in a whitewashed wooden frame, made locally in a family framers.
There are a range of themes – Under the Sea, Woodland, Jungle, Fantasy and Rainbow. The beauty of a bespoke piece of artwork, is that you have complete control and can create something perfectly personal. You may wish to provide photos of a much loved cuddly toy or pet, which can be incorporated into the design.
All Paintings measure 20 x 14 cm and 30.3 x 25.3 once mounted.
